  • What is an MSP?

A managed IT service provider (MSP) is a company that manages computer systems and networks for clients.

Besides this, most MSPs also offer a variety of services to their clients such as remote IT support, onsite support, proactive monitoring, equipment maintenance and repair, data backup and recovery, and more.

To put it simply, an MSP like ER Tech Pros takes care of your organization’s IT issues so that you won’t have to.

  • What are the benefits of having an MSP?

    1. Save time and money.

With an MSP, you can cut down on expensive IT and labor expenses.

Instead of offering a break-fix service, an MSP charges you for a flat monthly fee allowing them to be more proactive in handling your IT infrastructure and preventing problems before your practice faces any costly trouble.

    2. Keep up with security and compliance requirements.

An MSP that is proactive in identifying and solving problems can help you with your compliance needs—like HIPAA requirements—and avoid costly penalties.

    3. 24/7 protection against threats and unexpected catastrophes.

An in-house IT staff have limited manpower and each person will only work for you for a couple of hours a day.

A break-fix service will only be there for you when a problem already occurs.

An MSP does both of these 24/7. An MSP like ER Tech Pros can fix issues and even prevent them from happening any time, any day even on holidays.

  • How do I know when it’s time to get an MSP?

Are you struggling with your day-to-day IT needs?

Does your sensitive data need better security?

Do you need disaster recovery planning to protect your practice?

Do you prefer paying a fixed monthly fee to cut costs?

If your answer to all these questions is yes, you should get an MSP immediately before it's too late.

  • What makes ER Tech Pros different from other MSPs?

Downtime Prevention. Unlike most MSPs, ER Tech Pros doesn’t focus on just resolving issues. We focus on ensuring your IT infrastructure doesn’t have any issues in the first place.

Global Operations. With a team of over 70+ engineers across six time zones, we manage, monitor, and maintain your IT systems 24/7.

Cybersecurity. Having catered to the healthcare industry for over 20 years, we have the technology, experience, and training to build highly secure systems for highly sensitive data.

Cloud

  • Why do I need to switch to the cloud when I can buy my own physical servers?

Our cloud servers give you the following benefits:

Increase the security of sensitive data. Hackers target your lucrative business data, and our certified cloud engineers have all the cutting-edge tools to prevent any breach—not to mention thieves actually breaking into your office and stealing your devices. You also don’t have to worry about unexpected catastrophes like hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes. You’ll have peace of mind and free yourself from these concerns when your data is safe in the cloud.

Save more money. ER Tech offers zero upfront costs to all of our clients. You no longer have to spend more cash to buy your own servers and set aside an additional budget for installation fees & extra office space for them. With the cloud, you only pay for what you use and only when you use it.

Scale resources depending on your business needs. When you're expanding your business, you need additional storage space. Instead of buying new servers, our IT staff can simply increase your cloud storage space within minutes.

Let’s say you already bought new servers to accommodate storage demand. What happens to these servers by the time you don’t need them? Instead of worrying about your devices getting rusty, or having to sell them at a lower price, you can simply ask our IT staff to scale down your cloud server space. Pay less when you’re using less.

Prevent crashes and reduce downtimes. You must replace your physical servers every couple of years to maintain optimal performance. Most of the time, we can’t predict when our devices malfunction or stop running altogether, and your business can’t wait for something like that to happen. Switching to the cloud eliminates these worries.

  • The healthcare industry needs to comply with many strict regulations. Is the cloud compliant?

Not every cloud service provider adheres to compliance requirements, but we do. ER Tech Pros is HIPAA compliant, and our cloud infrastructures are SOC 2 certified. In fact, we help busy healthcare providers keep up with the latest updates to remain compliant and avoid penalties.

  • But we’ve always done things the traditional way. Isn’t it inconvenient to switch to the cloud now?

Not at all! Switching to the cloud with ER Tech Pros is a painless process.

Onboarding. Our team of cloud engineers assesses your systems, set up your cloud server, and set the project timeline.

Migration. We transfer your data to the cloud environment.

Device Setup & Testing. We make sure all your devices are working properly.

Go-Live & Monitoring. You’re all set! But we don’t stop here. Successful onboarding is just the beginning of our journey with you, and we aim to continue providing valuable services and support long after your go-live date.

Our goal is to ensure a seamless and painless transition through careful planning, thorough execution, and regular check-ins.

  • Learning about new technology can be a hassle sometimes. What if I need help using the cloud?

We’ll have a kickoff call to walk you through the whole process. You’ll also have a dedicated account manager so you can have the convenience of having a single point of contact to assist you every step of the way.

  • There are other cloud service providers out there. How different is your cloud service from theirs?

We specialize in cybersecurity. Having catered to the healthcare industry for over 20 years, we specialize in creating highly secure cloud environments for highly sensitive data.

Our services are designed for organizations that value their data. ER Tech takes pride in delivering, secure, scalable, state-of-the-art cloud solutions to businesses everywhere. Check out what our clients say about our services and our people.

We work 24/7. While other cloud solutions providers operate during regular business hours, our global team of experienced cloud engineers monitor your data 24/7 and are just a call away to help you with any concerns.

  • What other cloud-based services do you offer?

Aside from cloud hosting, we offer cloud phone systems to streamline your office communications, and cloud-based CCTV, for safe and secure clinic premises.

  • How does your data backup work?

We use a cloud backup technology called Snapshots that allows us to take a mirror image of your cloud server daily or a couple of times a day and store it in a different location. If disaster strikes, it takes less than 30 minutes to bring you back up and running.

  • Will data backup slow my internet connection and affect my practice?

No. Hourly backups won’t use up a lot of your internet bandwidth, and the bulk of our data backups (daily, monthly, and yearly backups) are done outside of your practice hours, so your workflow is not affected.

  • How frequently do you back up your data?

We do hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly backups:

    Hourly backup:

    • Snapshot taken every hour
    • Data stored for 1 day

    Daily backup

    • Snapshot taken every day at 2:00 AM
    • Data is stored for a day

    Monthly backup

    • Snapshot taken on the last day of the month (starts at 2:00 AM)
    • Data is stored for 3 months

    Yearly backup

    • Snapshot taken on the last day of the year (starts at 2:00 AM)
